1. Introduction
This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs all online payments made to Mahatma Gandhi B.Ed. College (“the College”) through the authorized payment gateway available on the College website. By making an online payment, students, parents, or guardians (“users”) agree to comply with this policy.
Refunds and cancellations are subject to institutional rules, university guidelines, and applicable regulatory norms.
2. Eligibility for Refund
Refunds may be considered only under the following circumstances:
- Duplicate payment made for the same purpose
- Excess amount paid due to technical or system error
- Transaction failure, where the amount is debited but payment confirmation is not received by the College
- Admission cancellation, if permitted under University / NCTE / ERC guidelines
All refund requests must be supported by valid proof of payment and relevant documentation.
3. Non-Refundable Payments
The following payments are non-refundable, unless explicitly stated otherwise by the College:
- Application / Registration fees
- Admission processing charges
- Examination or evaluation fees
- Late fees or penalty charges
- Convenience or payment gateway charges
4. Refund Timelines
- Refund requests must be submitted within 7–15 working days from the date of transaction or as notified by the College.
- Once approved, refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days.
- Actual credit of the amount may take additional time depending on the bank or payment gateway provider.
5. Mode of Refund
- Approved refunds will be processed only through the original mode of payment.
- No cash or cheque refunds will be issued for online payments.
- The College reserves the right to deduct applicable administrative or gateway charges, if any.
6. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation of admission or services must be requested in writing to the College administration.
- Admission cancellations are governed by Munger University, NCTE, and ERC norms applicable at the time of admission.
- The effective date of cancellation will be the date on which the written request is received and acknowledged by the College.
7. Exceptions
Refunds shall not be granted in the following cases:
- Failure to attend classes, examinations, or academic activities
- Disciplinary action taken against the student
- Submission of incorrect or incomplete information by the applicant
- Delay caused due to third-party banks or payment gateway systems
The College’s decision in such matters shall be final and binding.
8. Dispute Resolution
In case of any dispute related to refunds or cancellations:
- Users are advised to contact the College administration with transaction details.
- All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts in Bihar, India.
9. Policy Amendments
The College reserves the right to modify or update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time without prior notice. Updated policies will be published on the official website.
